How do you name your characters?

Posted on December 21, 2020November 8, 2020 by Wayne English

Naming characters can be a problem especially when your not sure how and where to find names. Well, I keep a file with interesting names and places for future use and it sure comes in handy. You can even use old maps and combine names.

Case in point, I needed a name for a fictional fishing village in 453 A.D., So i looked up old maps of that date and combined a couple names and cam up with Punta Antiun.

A Cool Last Names

  1. Street signs
  2. License plates
  3. Newspaper articles
  4. Historical figures
  5. Other languages than your own
